We are currently seeking an Electricity Market Optimization Engineer to join our Data Science team. This role offers the opportunity to join a rapidly growing company delivering industry-leading solutions to customers in the world’s most dynamic and fastest-growing sector.

Enverus is seeking an engineer with optimization modelling expertise, and with a successful track record of accurately solving high-level problems by using mathematical modelling, optimization, and statistical analysis. We pride ourselves on our high-quality work and we are meticulous about maintaining a high standard of accuracy across our services. You will be supported by a strong technical team of engineers and will help build ambitious products for the power sector.

What Youll Do:
Design, develop, and implement models for existing or new services focused on power markets
Collaborate with software engineers to operationalize and maintain models.
Gather, vet, and analyse data from diverse public and private sources.
Deploy production-grade code.
What You Should Have:
Bachelor’s degree in operations research, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Electrical Engineering, or related fields; Master’s/PhD preferred.
3-5 years of experience in power markets focused work.
Proficiency in operations research theories: linear, nonlinear, and integer programming.
Knowledge of optimization modelling languages and solvers, particularly CPLEX and Pyomo.
Experience with unit commitment & dispatch algorithms and leveraging DC power flow equations.
Ability to work with large datasets using modern data lake solutions.
Proficiency in scripting languages, especially Python, and deploying production-grade code.
High energy, attention to detail, self-motivation, innovation, and strong teamwork skills in a diverse environment.
