Global Patient Safety TA BioPharma at AstraZeneca is now looking for an Intern to join our team in Barcelona.
The core purpose of Patient Safety is to add value to AstraZeneca products, provide clear science-based guidance for investigators and prescribers to safeguard patients as well as the success of our business. Patient Safety covers the entire clinical life cycle of a drug from first time into man to withdrawal of a product from the market.
You will participate by providing support in ongoing pharmacovigilance and patient safety activities and projects. These projects will be outlined at the beginning of the internship period and when opportunities arise during the year.
You will also collaborate on our weekly or monthly safety data review with the project safety team, including literature retrieval and evaluation and/or drug information questions.
You will also contribute to the organization by providing at least one presentation on a topic to be determined, and/ or a training session to our colleagues on a specific matter.
You will be involved in as many tasks and activities that will support you gaining pharmacovigilance and patient safety knowledge.
Requirements
Being a 3rd / 4th year undergraduate student or a 1st year post graduate student in an accredited university, preferably at Faculty of Health Sciences or Medicine.
Good command of written and spoken English
Self-starter who demonstrates energy and enthusiasm, bringing a positive can-do approach to all challenges
Having excellent presentation and communication skills
High degree of accuracy with attention to detail
Competent in MS Office applications (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
High degree of analytical thinking skills and the ability to analyse data.
