SUMMARY
ANSYS seeks R&D Engineer II that will work in the development of new functionalities for our software. This role could be based in Madrid, Spain or Lyon, France
RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform moderately complex development activities, including the design, implementation, maintenance, testing and documentation of software modules and sub-systems.
Understand and employ best practices.
Perform moderately complex bug verification, release testing and beta support for assigned products.
Research problems discovered by QA or product support and develops solutions.
Understand the marketing requirements for a product, including target environment, performance criteria and competitive issues.
Work under the general supervision of a development manager.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field of study.
Alternate Acceptable Education and Work Experience Requirement: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Computer Science, or a related field of study, and Two (2) years of experience in a related occupation.
Work experience or academic coursework must have included:
Experience with C++, numerical analysis, object-oriented design, software configuration management, data structures and algorithms;
Experience with scripting language: Python;
Experience with physics simulations, computer aided design or similar
Additional work location information: Telecommute work from home position within commuting distance to an Ansys office
