Amazon Intermodal is looking to hire a Senior Programme Manager to design the network for Amazon to go via Rail in a reliable, fast, efficient, and carbon friendly manners.

This position is based out of our London Corporate Office, with the flexibility to work remotely up to two days per week in line with Amazons current flexible work guidance. Amazon encourages open communication about unique needs for flexible arrangements. The role will include travel up to 15% of the time.
Key job responsibilities
- Create innovative solutions using data and research to address wider challenges in your organization
- Work alongside senior leadership to establish and prioritise improvement programmes, seeing them through from start to finish
- Overseeing complex, cross functional programmes with internal and external stakeholders
- Owning Amazon Rails North Star and its development cycles
- Engaging with Rail partners to drive Amazons sustainability goals
- Leveraging large data and performance metrics to drive business results
- Leading business reviews with Amazon leadership and senior-level Rail executives
- Partnering with finance, legal and network teams to shape future growth plans and guide Rail and land-side partners through new launches and other special projects

As a Senior Programme Manager at Amazon, youll lead transformative, data-driven initiatives that drive strategic improvements across the organization. Leveraging your exceptional project management skills, youll define and execute efficient plans to address complex challenges with creativity and innovation. Your responsibilities will extend beyond process optimizations, as youll also contribute to enhancing diversity, equity, and inclusion. Key duties include reviewing performance with internal and external partners, tracking expansion progress, building business cases, and collaborating cross-functionally to drive operational excellence.

Amazon has built a robust intermodal rail network that is a key component of its logistics infrastructure.
Amazons rail operations play a critical role in supporting the companys growing retail and logistics footprint. The team is responsible for planning and executing efficient, cost-effective, and sustainable rail movements between Amazons fulfillment and transportation hubs.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
A degree
Experience defining programme requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership
Experience owning programme strategy and end to end delivery
Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization
Experience in programme or project management
Experience delivering cross functional projects
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Advanced degree
Proficiency in SQL
Relevant experience in Rail
Experience managing teams
