Job Description:
Do you want to champion the player voice and create memorable gaming experiences for millions of players worldwide? Are you experienced in several research methods and interested in a role with a lot of variety on a fantastic tight-knit team?
We are looking for a proactive Senior UX Researcher with a solid expertise in mixed methods . You will work within the Candy Crush Soda game team, giving a voice to millions of players from around the world by leading the effort of turning hard data into compelling stories, help craft the flow of our games/products, and be in the thick of team efforts to build great player experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Design and lead mixed-methods research studies, including surveys, interviews, focus groups, usability testing, and other appropriate methodologies to address research questions.
Collaborate with product, design and data scientists to define research objectives, identify research needs, and prioritize projects.
Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our players, their behaviors, motivations, and needs, and use these insights to improve our players experience with the game. Ensure that the player perspective is heard and acted upon in the King game design process.
Translate research findings into actionable and impactful insights and recommendations, and effectively communicate them to the team.
Establish, improve and promote UX research best practices and processes, and advocate for the role of research in the game team.
Mentor and support more junior UX researchers, fostering a culture of curiosity, collaboration, and continuous learning within King.
Stay current with the latest UX research trends, tools, and methodologies, and proactively explore opportunities to incorporate new approaches into our research practice.
Use inclusive design methodologies, ensuring that we deliver experiences everybody can have access to.
Skills to create thrills
Extensive experience in user research, preferably in the gaming or mobile app industry.
Expertise in a wide range of quantitative and qualitative research methods, with a proven ability to select and apply the appropriate methodology to address specific research questions.
Good understanding of product development cycle in an agile environment.
Experience in translating a players insight into impactful features in game.
Familiarity with testing tools such as UserTesting, PlaytestCloud,etc.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data and draw meaningful conclusions.
Extensive knowledge in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, or related fields, from industry experience or academic background.
Proficiency in the research lifecycle, including: briefing, recruitment, questionnaire/discussion guide design, analysis, synthesis of findings, communication of insights.
