Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Engineer

Sener is currently looking for Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Engineer to join our team at our Tres Cantos (Madrid) or Sevilla work center.

This is how we put our finishing touch on all our solutions throughout their entire life cycle, from design to maintenance: electromechanical systems, communications (COMINT, datalinks, microwaves and radio frequency), autonomous navigation and aircraft modernization.

The candidate will play a key role in designing, building and testing a UAV demonstration testbed for innovative autonomous functions, all within an international cooperation European framework.

The candidate will be involved in the full development and testing cycle of the UAV ranging from architecture/systems definition to field/flight testing campaigns

What you will do:
Review of engineering and technical documentation to ensure compliance of industrial team to system needs and requirements.
Analysis of UAS/UAV functional and operational requirements.
Translation of operational, performance and functional requirements into specific UAS/UAV designs.
Participation in the definition and conduction of UAS/UAV flight test scenarios.
Participation in the definition and conduction of innovative autonomous UAS function in field tests.
Participation in co-engineering with national and international partners.
What we expect from you:
2-3 years of experience in UAS/UAV Design and Operations
UAS/UAV Systems Engineering
Knowledge of UAS/UAV design (flight physics, system design, structural design)
Experience in UAS/UAV development and integration would be an asset
Experience in UAS operation and field/flight testing would be an asset
Experience in UAS/UAV autopilot design would be an asset
Experience in UAS/UAV communication systems would be an asset
Knowledge of airworthiness & safety regulations and processes to obtain permits to fly both in civil and military (CAE) environment would be an asset
Nice to have:
Advanced MS Office
CAD/CAM/CAE
FEA/FEM
Python and MATLAB
